Department of Managed Health Care (DMHC)

Infiniti team members have worked on several projects at DMHC, including:

  • Division of Plan Survey Technology Plan – Infiniti worked with Division of Plan Survey management and staff to develop a comprehensive technology plan to improve survey efficiency and effectiveness. In order to accomplish this, Infiniti documented the current state (including process maps and data flows), developed the business case (including defining the vision for future processes and conducting a market analysis of possible software technology), and defined functional and business requirements for a new system. All of this information was compiled into a formal, proposed Technology Plan which was submitted to management.
  • NCQA Deeming Feasibility Assessment – Infiniti was responsible for documenting the project scope, goals, objectives, developing the project plan, and managing a team to conduct a feasibility assessment and implementation analysis. In addition, Infiniti developed and delivered presentations summarizing recommendations to Senior Management. 
  • Customer Relationship Management Implementation Project – Infiniti served as Project Manager for the development and implementation of an outreach effort for a newly implemented statewide program (Independent Medical Review). Infiniti' developed an outreach plan, which included the production of a “baseline” against which to measure project success, identification of target audiences and appropriate message vehicles, construction of the message, and development of the final timeline and team to accomplish the tasks. Infiniti implemented the outreach plan by designing outreach materials (newsletter articles, brochures, etc.), delivering presentations, facilitating creation of public service announcements, and investigating Internet outreach opportunities. Infiniti also provided on-going project and program management services for a concurrent project (a newly legislated report evaluating California Department of Insurance and California Department of Managed Health care regulations, processes, and enforcement, etc.).

  • Independent Medical Review Program Implementation – Infiniti served as the Project Manager for the overall implementation of a new legislatively-mandated department program (Independent Medical Review). Infiniti defined and provided oversight of the policy development process and managed the cross-functional implementation team. Infiniti created workflows and business processes to effectively support the new program. This included defining system requirements and managing the selection and implementation of the system to support the program (system design, development, testing, and deployment). Infiniti designed reports to measure program volume and process quality and aided in development of staffing plans as well as developed and implemented training and communication plans.
  • HMO Help Center Start-Up – Infiniti served as the Project Manager to implement a consumer assistance center (the “HMO Help Center”). Infiniti managed the business process re-design effort in the HMO Help Center, focusing on effectively processing incoming calls and resolving consumer complaints. Infiniti developed associated training and implementation plans to assure success of re-design efforts. Infiniti defined and developed Help Center reports to provide more effective data to management.
